                                                            MEETING MINUTES/NOVEMBER 10, 2009

 

Call to Order:         The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Club President John Reese.

Minutes:                   Motion made, and seconded to approve the Oct. 13, 2009 minutes.

 

Treasurer:               Jim Poe reported beginning balance of $2587.99. End balance of $2737.99  

 

Secretary:               No Report, Kathy Reese out sick.  Barbara Rogers took minutes. 

 

Clothing:                  No Report

 

Webmaster:            Pete Ruff, nothing to report.

 

Raffle Organizers:    Patty McCoy & Bob Graham, nothing to report.

 

Club Historian:          No Report

 

Old Business:         Fall Colors hosted by Peggy Sue Croswhite .  She reported that 8 cars participated on the run.  Everyone had a good time.

 

New Business:     Nov. 15th - Crab Shack Lunch in Old Sac hosted by George Goolsby –  for those wanting to attend, be at El Dorado Hills Starbucks by 10:00 am.

 

                             Dec. 5th – Toy Run (hosted by Just For Corvette’s)  Meeting place Mather, info on website.  No club host.

 

                             Dec. 6th - Placerville Christmas Parade hosted by George Goolsby – Email will be sent out closer to Dec. 6th event date.  

 

                             Dec. 12th  - Christmas Party  – Vicki Braithwaite reported the band has been hired, Keith Becky will provide dinner, hall has been rented.  No new decorations will be needed to be purchased this year.

 

                             Discussion with membership regarding cost of dinner this year.  Price will be $25.00 per person.  Membership approved cost increase.

 

                             Vicki requested approval from the membership for the following expenditures for the Christmas party:

 

                             Raffle Prizes - $500.00 

                             Wine & Alcohol - $250.00

                             Band w/tip - $750.00  

                                Bartender(s) - $150.00

                                Cleaning - $200.00 

                             Hall - $325.00

 

                             Membership approved expenditures.       

        

 

NOMINATIONS FOR CLUB OFFICERS:

 

                             Due to only one person being nominated for each open position, election was done by show of hands by membership.  The following are the new club officers for the CPCC for the 2010 year:

Floor Open to Members:        

 

                             Follow up on Bob Graham’s inquiry on the year CPCC became a club. John Reese researched this.  CPCC originated in 1991

 

                             Pete Ruff inquired about a car event at Cal Expo.  Bob Graham said that a group is meeting on Saturday, Nov. 14th at the IHOP in Folsom (Iron Point Road) for breakfast and then will be going to the Sacramento Auto Show at Cal Expo.
