MEETING MINUTES/October 14, 2008

 

 

Call to Order:       The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Club President Dana Jones.

Minutes:               Motion made, and seconded to approve the September 2008 minutes.

 

Treasurer’s Report:      Jim Poe reported that the balance in the account is $2996.98

 

Secretary:            Margo Savio, nothing to report.

 

Clothing:              Looking for someone to take Anne Jones place to be in charge of clothing.

 

Webmaster:         Pete had nothing new to report.

 

Old Business:       * September 20, 2008 - Cameron Park Airport Show (Tom Krakker) – Tom reported that we had three cars at the event.

                             *September 28, 2008 – Big Trees Run (George Goolsby) run was cancelled but had a BBQ instead.

                             *October 3-4, 2008 – Rocky’s Summer Run (George Goolsby & Barbara Rogers) had 3 cars for Rocky’s last run.

* October 11-13, 2008 – Autumn Leaves Run (Rick Samoian and John       Reese) cancelled due to ice storm

 New Business:

·         December 6, 2008 – NorCal Toy Run from Mather Field (no hosts at this time)

·         December 13, 2008 – Christmas Party (Vicki Braithwaite) Party will start at 6, food served at 7. Need a final head count by December 1st.  Cost is $30 per person, with the club picking up $15 of the cost.  No refunds. Menu will include turkey and prime rib.  The various costs were covered and voted on by the club members.

·         Nominations for next years club officers were as follows:

President – John Reese

Vice President – George Goolsby

Secretary – Kathy Reese

Treasure – Jim Poe

Clothing – Barbara Collier

Web Master – Pete Ruff

Raffle – Barbara Hudgins, Bob Graham, Patty McCoy

Club Historian – Keith Becky

Need to send in any other nominations before the next meeting.

 

·         There was a discussion concerning someone being a member without owning a Corvette.  Keith Becky said that the original club chatter said that members needed to be “Corvette enthusiasts” but did not have to actually own one.

 

Meeting was adjourned and the next meeting will be November 11, 2008.  Keith Becky won the raffle.
