5.   OLD BUSINESS

 

July 16                  Ladies lunch @ Chantara Thai Cuisine, El Dorado Hills – Hostess:  Pat Oesterreich – small turnout but always a good time.  At June luncheon Mary was surprised with birthday gift of crystal license plate cover for her new wheels (is it okay to mention it’s a Mercedes?)!

 

 

 

July 18                  Cruzin’ the Boulevard – El Dorado Hills – Host:  Ken Cleek – Good turn out – CPCC made the local paper.  Was an all day event with lots going in – this is a monthly occurrence through September – so if you missed this one you still have a chance to attend one.

 

July 22                  Birthday Dinner @ Cattlemen’s, Rancho Cordova – Hostess:  Patty McCoy – One star for the birthday dinner – the Prez Daryl sat alone at the head table – was crowned with the traditional hat and singing … not a big turnout (16) but a great time!

 

August 1-7            Annual Cam Car Cruise –  Eddie Pesce was going to host but because of no interest – he didn’t attend.

 

August 6-8            Barrett Jackson Run, Reno, Nevada – The Cleeks, Hattens, Colliers and Cooks got together for dinner – lots of cars – lots of fun – got to see the “hellcats” do donuts.  Dennis Humphrey made a haul with all sorts of free goodies!

 

     6.  NEW BUSINESS

August 15              Cruzin’ the Boulevard, EDH Town Center – Ken Cleek will host again but everyone needs to pay attention to the event coordinator as to where to park

 

August 20              Ladies Lunch – Wally’s Pizza Bar, Cameron Park – Hostess:  Pat Oesterreich – signup sheet circulated – contact Pat by email if anyone is interested in attending

 

August 22              2nd Annual Raceworz Event, Sacramento Race Way – No club host

 

August 23              Vicki’s Mystery Dinner – Hosts:  Tom & Vicki Braithwaite – No longer at mystery – dinner will be at the Zinfandel Grill on Fair Oaks Boulevard at 4:30 in Sacramento – dinner will be $41.00 per person (that includes tax and gratuity) drinks will be on individual tabs – be sure to bring CASH.  Contact Vicki if you’re interested in attending

 

August 27              Hangtown Evening Car Show, Placerville – Dennis Humphrey may attend

 

September 8         Meeting

 

September 10-13  Tahoe 47, Reno – No club host at this time

 

September 11-13Roamin Angels Car Show, Grass Valley – No club host at this time

 

September 17       /Ladies Lunch – Red Robin in Folsom – Hostess:  Pat Oesterreich

 

September 26       Aircraft Carrier Hornet Museum Run, Alameda

 

September 26       Cruzin’ the Boulevard – El Dorado Hills – Host:  Ken Cleek

 

September 27-28  Little River Inn Run, Little River – Club hosts:  Partlows & Colliers – so far 22 cars are scheduled for this event – hosts will be collecting $5.00 per person at next meeting for pizza delivery on the 27th – Barb will be bringing signup sheet at next meeting for appetizers – also particular routes to Little River will be discussed

 

Don’t forget to check out website for details on all events – Pete does an excellent job keeping it update with all the information needed for upcoming runs and events.

 

7.  FLOOR OPEN TO MEMBERS

 

                   a.  Ideas and volunteers for new events or runs

 

                   Pat announced ladies luncheon will be on September 17th at the Red Robin in Folsom

 

                   September 19th in Sacramento is the 16th Annual Car Show for the Guide Dogs of America

 

October 18th is Red Hawk Car show – Dennis Humphrey wanted to remind everyone to plan on attending – it’s always a great show – wants the CPCC to make a good showing

                  

                   Christmas party is Friday, December 4th in El Dorado Hills – more details will be discussed at September meeting

 

                   No December club meeting – there will be a planning meeting on December 8th at Denny’s to go over specific plans and ideas for events/runs in 2016

 

                   Rick Samoian advised that the tours for the Reform School in Ione are over for the season – will make note of it for next year so something can be planned earlier in the season

 

                   Patty McCoy is going to check on September birthday dinner for September 12th in Volcano

 

8.   FOR THE GOOD OF THE ORDER – Daryl Partlow

 

          Pat Oesterreich suggested that we hold monthly raffles at our meetings to generate some money for our Christmas party – need members to donate something for raffle (cookies, candles, etc.). 100% of the money will go towards our Christmas party.  The 50/50 money raffle is totally separate from this one.

 

          Marty Keylon knows someone that is trying to sell a C5 for $19,900

 

          Also the Keylons are expecting their second granddaughter any day now!

 

          Phil & Cathleen Fischbach just returned from a 3 month road trip covering 14,000 miles in a 31 foot motor home towing a Jeep – has map and stories to share!
