MEETING MINUTES/MARCH 10, 2009

 

 

Call to Order:         The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Club President John Reese.

Minutes:                   Motion made, and seconded to approve the February 10, 2009 minutes.

 

Treasurer’s Report:        Jim Poe reported that the balance in the account is $1030.63

 

Secretary:               Kathy Reese, nothing to report.

 

Clothing:                  Barbara Collier, not present.

 

Webmaster:            Pete Ruff proposed we renew our domain name for one year and our hosting service for seven months so they both will expire at the same time.  The total cost would be $45.82 til June 2010.  Motion was approved.

 

Raffle Organizers:    Nothing to report.

 

Club Historian:          Keith Becky, not present.

 

Old Business:

                                    Crab Feed by CPVFFA:  George Goolsby reported that 3 couples attended    and had a lot of fun.

 

 New Business:   

                             Daffodil Hill run with lunch at St. George’ s in Volcano.  George said the trip

                             will depend on the weather.

 

                             Mammoth/Death Valley trip – Lunch in Markleeville with overnite stay in Mammoth; then onto Death Valley with on overnite stay in Bishop.  You can participate in part of the trip or the whole trip.  Run dependant on the highways being open with no snow according to John Reese & Rick Samoian.

 

                             Monterrey Bay overniter – Mike Neri reports he has reserved a limited amount of rooms at the De Anza Inn.  Need to make reservations ASAP.

 

                             Napa Poker Run – Vickie Braithwaite says the run will start at her house in Folsom and end at the V. Sattui Winery in St. Helena.  The winery has picnic grounds and a very good deli to purchase lunch items.

 

                             Loomis Iris Farm run cancelled because of $600 charge to have a picnic.

 

                             Angels Camp Picnic – Grounds have been reserved for Sunday May 17th.

                             This will be a Bar-B-Q potluck with games and raffle prizes.  George will do the barbeque and Bob Graham the games.  We will need prizes for the raffle.  Report by Kathy Reese.

 

                             Ice House Run – Naylor’s not present for report.

 

                             4th of July Annual Picnic at Sly Park – Barbara Collier not present for report.

 

                             4th of July Tahoe Fireworks – George reports reservations at the Lakeside Inn

                             need to be made.  Dinner will be at the Charthouse. 

 

                             Rockin’ on the Rogue – Motel space is limited.  Might be able to get rooms at the Redwood Motel.  George reports this is one of the best runs.

 

                             Thunderhill – Larry Savio not present for report.

 

                             KCRA tour – It was decided to postpone until Ron Niemi was back  in town.     

 

                                   

 

Floor open to Members:          Vickie Braithwaite suggested we should wear our club shirts and/or jackets on club events.
